The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has formed teams led by senior ministers to supervise election works in three constituencies which are facing polls on November 19.
The ruling party announced its election teams comprising senior Ministers, including O Panneerselvam, to work in four Assembly segments in the state and Puducherry where elections are scheduled on November 19.
Besides Finance Minister Panneerselvam, the party named his colleagues Edappady K Palaniswamy and P Thangamani besides Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs A Anwar Raja and R Vaithinlingam among others to carry on election related work in Thanjavur, Aravakurichi and Thiruparankundram in Tamil Nadu.
In Thanjavur constituency, municipal administration minister S P Velumani, food minister R Kamaraj, handloom minister O S Manian, housing minister K Radhakrishnan, health minister Dr C Vijayabaskar and R Vaithilingam MP will take care of election works.
Meanwhile, Election Commission has released the final electoral roll for the three assembly constituencies for which elections were deferred. Filing of nominations for Aravakurichi and Thanjavur assembly constituencies began on Wednesday.
In all, 2,00347 voters including 1,03247 male and 97,100 females will exercise their franchise on November 19 in 245 polling stations in Aravakurichi assembly constituency. A total of 276 polling booths would be set up for 2,68,516 voters — 1,38,352 male, 1,30,146 female and 18 transgenders — in Thanjavur assembly constituency.
