All the MLAs of the ruling AIADMK were asked to present at the Apollo Hospitals around this noon, reports said, amid growing concerns about the health condition of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
“The Party High Command this morning contacted all the MLAs and directed them to be present at Apollo by 11.00 hours,” reports said, quoting AIADMK sources.
The Tamil Nadu DGP has ordered all police officers and personnel to report for duty by Monday morning for deployment in view of Jayalalithaa suffering a cardiac arrest.
In a communication to ADGPs of Enforcement, CB-CID, Economic Offences Wing and Crime wings, the DGP’s office asked them to “mobilise all the officers in the rank of SPs and police personnel of other ranks of Enforcement, CBCID, EOW and Crime completely and they should report” to SPs and Commissioners of Police at 7 AM on Monday.
Exactly two weeks after she was shifted to a private room following significant improvement in her health condition for lung infections after being treated by a team of experts that included a team from the AIIMS in Delhi, London and Singapore, Jayalalithaa was shifted back to the Intensive Critical Care Unit last evening following the cardiac arrest.
“Our doctors are closely monitoring Hon’ble CM’s condition and they are trying their very best,” tweeted Apollo Hospitals Joint Managing Director, Sangeeta Reddy this morning.
