Actor Silambarasan unveils the First Look and Title of Balaji Murugadoss’ next ‘Runner’ on special occasion of Maha Shivaratri
Content-driven actors always have the privilege of acquiring the attention and praise from cinema lovers. Significantly, actor Balaji Murugadoss has been escalating his career graph by choosing unique and strong scripts. In other words, he has become the choice of directors and producers, who craft exceptional stories. Following the positive response to his performance in ‘Fire’, the actor has now embarked on a journey with a new challenging project titled ‘Runner’. The film is a sports drama directed by Chidambaram A Anbazhagan and produced by Caleb and Galvin of Rhinos Rampage Films. The creative team have already proved a glimpse of amazing projects ‘Boxer’ and ‘Quotation Gang’.
The entire team is elated to have a Midas touch to their project as Silambarasan TR unveiled the film’s first look and title on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri evening.
‘Runner’ is based on a story inspired by many sprinters around the globe, and will be shot on a grand scale.
Written & Direction by Chidambaram A Anbazhagan, a former software test engineer, started his film journey as an assistant director followed by assistant dialogue writer for Sun TV and Vijay TV serials. He made short films and telefilms that earned him the offer to be associate director for pan India movies Quotation Gang.

Director Chidambaram A Anbazhagan says, “The reason behind choosing Balaji Murugadoss is because of the honest fact that he is a very disciplined sportsperson. I have known him for several years, and I’ve always been inspired by his hard work and dedication. Ever since he came on board, Balaji has been making excruciating efforts to make sure that he does justice to his character. Even if I am reaching out to him at midnight, he will be seen working out in the gym to ensure that he looks befittingly perfect with his physique for the sprinter’s role. Following his workout at 3 a.m., he would start running on the track at 5.30 a.m. every day it’s been almost 6 months he’s been trained by international and national coaches and athletes for his particular and I am confident it will reflect on the screen..
