A R Rahman to score music for Ajith’s next?

There is an interesting buzz in Kollywood that the music director for Ajith’s next film is none other than Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.

If this becomes a reality, then Ajith and Rahman are uniting in a movie after 13 years. This combination was last seen in the movie Varalaru directed by K S Ravikumar which was released back in 2006.

Like Nerkonda Paarvai, AK-60 will also be directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor while it is co-produced by Zee Studios. In the tweet, it was also confirmed that the pooja for the movie will be at the end of this August.

Rahman and Ajith have so far teamed up only for three films – Pavithra, Varalaru and Kandukondaain Kandukondaain – in their long careers.

ARR is currently basking in the success of his latest Tamil song Singapenney, which is setting records on YouTube. The song is part of Vijay’s film Bigil, which is slated to hit the screen on Deepavali 2019.

As per the latest buzz, Boney Kapoor had a meeting with AR Rahman recently and the musician is believed to have agreed to compose music for the Ajith-starrer which happens to be a thriller.

On Tuesday, announcing his new project with Ajith, Kapoor tweeted: “A big thank you to the entire unit of #NerkondaPaarvai for working towards August 8th release. Happy to announce our next AK60 with #AjithKumar #HVinoth and @ZeeStudios will start with Pooja end August 2019.”

The films’s pooja is expected to happen at the end of August and the shooting for the film is planned to kick start from the first week of September.

Most of the shooting is planned to be shot overseas. The film is said to be full of thrill, adventure and a whole lot of action.
