A R Rahman shares glimpse of recording session from Ponniyin Selvan

Director Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is one of the most anticipated films in 2022. The film’s post-production work is currently underway.

Composer AR Rahman took to Instagram to share a video from the recording session of the film. While Rahman is not seen in the video, we can see director Mani Ratnam briefing Drums Sivamani and his teammates in a studio.

Ponniyin Selvan is being made in two parts. The makers wrapped up the film’s shooting a few months ago.

The first part will release in the summer of 2022. The post-production work is currently progressing at a brisk pace at several studios in India.

Ponniyin Selvan is based on a Tamil literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamoorthy. Set in the 9th century, Ponniyin Selvan follows the early life of Arulmozhi Varman, who belongs to the Chola dynasty.
