A R Rahman on board for Avengers, composes anthem

A R Rahman has created India’s Marvel anthem for the release of Avengers: Endgame. It will come out in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

A press release said Marvel India has teamed up with the Oscar-Grammy awards winning composer for the track, which will be released on April 1.

Said Rahman, “Being surrounded by Marvel fans in my own family, there was too much pressure to come with something really satisfying and apt for ‘Avengers: Endgame’. I hope Marvel aficionados and music lovers enjoy the track.”

Bikram Duggal, Head – Studios, Marvel India, said, “Avengers: Endgame is not just a movie, it’s an emotional journey for fans everywhere in India. An original composition by Oscar winner A R Rahman was the perfect way to celebrate the love for Marvel among fans in the country. This is our small way of thanking the fans here for their extraordinary support.”

Popular Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh said: ‘#BreakingNews: AR Rahman joins Avengers: Endgame. The ace music composer will create an all-new song for Indian fans in three languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The song will be released on 1 April 2019.”

The trailer of the film was released earlier this month, featuring almost every superhero (Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man to name a few) that the fans were eagerly waiting to see. The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 26.

In Tamil, Rahman is busy with Vijay-63 directed by Atlee, Sivakarthikeyan-Ravi Kumar film and he is likely to compose music for Mani Ratnam’s period saga based on Ponniyin Selvan.
