A Patriotic Film Festival
A Patriotic Film Festival organised by N. F. D. C.(National Film Development Corporation) and National Film Archive of India from the 11th to the 13th of August at Tagore Central was inaugurated on Monday, 11th August at 11.00 am followed by the screening of S. Ram Sharma’s Shaheed (1965) at 11.30 am.
Filmmaker Vasanth, Dance Choreographer Kala Master, Chozha Nachiyar from the Tamil Chamber of Commerce, Actor Veera & Actress Namitha and Sangeetha Vidwan Dr AVS Sivakumar were the Chief Guests who participated in the Lighting of the Traditional Lamp and addressed the guests. Mahesh Yadav, Deputy General Manager,NFDC, Chennai, welcomed the guests and facilitated them too…
Out of the 11 films scheduled to be screened, 7 are full length features while 4 are documentaries.
B. R. Panthulu’s Veera Pandiya Kattabomman
(1959) and Paraskthi (1952) are also in the scheduled list of films, both featuring thespian Sivaji Ganesan.
Saat Hindustani (1969) is the closing film.

தேசிய திரைப்பட மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம் (N.F.D.C.) மற்றும் இந்திய தேசிய திரைப்பட ஆவணக் காப்பகம் ஆகியவற்றால் ஆகஸ்ட் 11 முதல் 13 வரை தாகூர் மையத்தில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட தேசபக்தி திரைப்பட விழா ஆகஸ்ட் 11 ஆம் தேதி திங்கட்கிழமை காலை 11.00 மணிக்குத் தொடங்கப்பட்டது, அதைத் தொடர்ந்து காலை 11.30 மணிக்கு எஸ். ராம் சர்மாவின் ஷாஹீத் (1965) திரைப்படம் திரையிடப்பட்டது.
திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர் வசந்த், நடனக் கலைஞர் கலா மாஸ்டர், தமிழ் வர்த்தக சபையைச் சேர்ந்த சோழ நாச்சியார், நடிகர் வீரா & நடிகை நமீதா மற்றும் சங்கீத வித்வான் டாக்டர் ஏ.வி.எஸ். சிவகுமார் ஆகியோர் பாரம்பரிய விளக்கு ஏற்றும் நிகழ்வில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாகப் பங்கேற்று விருந்தினர்களை உரையாற்றினர். சென்னை NFDCயின் துணைப் பொது மேலாளர் மகேஷ் யாதவ் விருந்தினர்களை வரவேற்று அவர்களுக்கும் ஏற்பாடு செய்தார்…
திரையிட திட்டமிடப்பட்ட 11 படங்களில் 7 முழு நீள திரைப்படங்கள், 4 ஆவணப்படங்கள்.
பி.ஆர். பந்துலுவின் வீர பாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன்
(1959) மற்றும் பரஸ்க்தி (1952) ஆகிய படங்களும் திட்டமிடப்பட்ட படங்களின் பட்டியலில் உள்ளன, இரண்டுமே நடிகர் சிவாஜி கணேசனின் நடிப்பில் வெளிவந்தவை.
