While the release of his Ayogya was postponed in the last minute due to financial issues, the Madras High Court refused to stay the operation of an order issued by the State government-appointed Special Officer N Sekar, constituting an ad hoc committee of nine members to assist him in managing the affairs of the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC), hitherto headed by Vishal.
But there is some good news from the actor however. The marriage date of Vishal has been fixed. Vishal and Anisha will get married on October 9.
Earlier this year, the engagement ceremony of the couple was a close-knit affair in the presence of family and friends, including Khushbu and Sundar C, Nandha, Ramana, Sriman and Pasupathy.
Meanwhile, talking about the delay in Ayogya release, Vishal tweeted, “As I wait. For my hardwork called #ayogya to release. I did my best.more than an actor. as always. I groomed my child since it came on my lap. BUT.not enuf??? #gajjnimohamed. My time will come. I continue my journey.”
The most powerful man in Kollywood until recently, actor Vishal, president of Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and general secretary of actor’s body Nadigar Sangam, is now fighting a fierce battle to stay relevant.
Vishal’s big-budget action summer release Ayogya which was to release today (10 May), has been postponed due to financial constraints.
On Friday, Justice S. Vaidyanathan refrained from granting an interim stay after the government assured him that the ad hoc committee would not interfere with the administration of the council by the special officer and that it had been constituted only at the insistence of the Inspector General of Registration.
