Tiruchirpalli, Aug 27 : The Southern Railway (SR) will operate special trains in the Chennai Egmore-Tiruvarur section in connection with the annual festival at Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Health at Velankanni.

According to a release from C K Sivaraj, Public Relations Officer, Southern Railway (Tiruchirapalli division)here today the special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 2020 hrs on August 28 and reach Tiruvarur at 0600 hrs, the next day.

In its return direction, the train will leave Tiruvarur at 0615 hrs on August 29 and reach Chennai Egmore at 0440 hrs, the next day.

The trains on both directions will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melvaruvathur, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi Junction, Tiruverumbur and Thanjavur.

Advance reservation for these trains would commence from today, he added.
