Puducherry, Aug 28 : The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held here today to elect the new CLP leader following the resignation of Chief Minister N Rangasamy remained inconclusive and would continue at 1530 hrs after lunch break.
Mr K B Krishnamurthy, AICC secretary incharge of Puducherry affairs and Central Observer for the CLP meeting told newspersons that all the legislators barring Speaker R Radhakrishnan attended the meeting.
Mr Rangasamy also attended the meeting and later left, he said, adding, that they had discussion on the election of a new CLP leader which was still inconclusive.
However, it was reliably learnt that Mr V Vaithilingam was elected as the new CLP leader and waiting for the auspicious time for the formal announcement.
